You choose how long uploads stay open when you create the album: 24, 48, or 72 hours. After the upload window closes, everyone has 30 days to download. Then all files are permanently deleted from our servers.
Do I need an account?
No account, no email, no signup. The link is your access. The guest link lets people upload and download. The host link gives you full control. Save both links when you create your album.
Is it really free?
Not a trial, not freemium, not a hook. SharedReel is a small project that costs me almost nothing to run. No tracking, no ads, no AI training on your photos. When the album expires, your files are gone.
Can I keep the photos forever?
Download them before the 30-day window closes. Once deleted, the files are permanently gone. We do not keep copies.
Is it private?
Only people with the guest link can see or upload to your album. There is no public directory, no search, no way to discover albums. Privacy comes from the link being unguessable.
What happens after 30 days?
All files are permanently deleted from our servers. This happens automatically. We log the deletion count but do not retain any of the files.
What is the file size limit?
Up to 500 MB per file and 10 GB total per album, up to 1000 files.
Can I delete an album early?
Yes. Use your host link to open the album manager and tap the delete button in the danger zone. All files are removed immediately.
Can guests see each other's photos while uploading?
Not during the upload window. The gallery becomes visible once the upload window closes, so everyone can download at the same time.
What file types are accepted?
Any image or video format. Common ones: JPG, PNG, HEIC, MP4, MOV, WebM. Raw files from cameras are supported if your browser can handle the upload.
